Over a decade ago, we laid the foundation for an educational center. The construction was a collaborative effort involving specialists, parents, and volunteers.
Our Inclusive Practices Center (ipCenter) has been providing essential assistance to over 5,000 individuals with disabilities since 2013. However, after years of active service, the center now requires comprehensive repairs to sustain its mission and create an even more inclusive environment filled with empathy, authenticity, and warmth.
The building sits on a land area of 4,000 square meters, with each floor spanning 320 square meters. It boasts 3 floors: 2 spacious halls, 7 offices, living quarters, and kitchens. Every room features ample space, high ceilings, panoramic windows, and balcony access – crucial elements for ensuring a sense of freedom for every project participant. This unique place has breathed life into the eyes of countless children, provided strength to thousands of mothers, and guided individuals with various forms of disabilities who had lost faith in themselves and humanity. For these individuals, our training center has become a cherished “blue home,” tied to dreams, future plans, and the genuine prospect of social integration…
2024
October, November, December (plans)
Join us!!! In the coming months we are in dire need of:
• building materials (facade panels, paint, glass, sealants)
• volunteers of repair specialties (painters, installers, industrial climbers, movers, window workers, handymen)
• Funding ($3,000 to $7,000)
By the end of the year, we must put panels on the remaining walls of the building, paint the facade of the building, and replace deteriorated glass and window seals.
May, June, July (results)
Due to the fact that Ureki is a summer tourist resort and there is a lot of work during this period, our volunteers went to work and cannot help us to make repairs for some time. The children who have been working all summer on the area around the Center came to help: they were able to clean the paths, remove weeds, learned how to mow the lawn and much more – see photos.
March, April (results)
We present to your attention the amount of work that we were able to complete in March and April. It was a very cool time to volunteer together.
February (results)
Unfortunately, we were not able to fulfill our February plan. The weather was amazing, but due to lack of funding we were not able to attract qualified workers. Volunteer forces were enough only for the minimum result. This month not only men but also women – specialists of our organization – came out to repair the facade. Thanks to them we have achieved the successes shown in the photos. In March we will make even more efforts and hope for your financial support.
February (plans)
Our plans for the month of February: install insulation panels on all areas that are circled in red lines in the picture.
January (results)
Despite the holidays and difficult weather conditions in January, we managed to:
- Completed installation of insulation panels on the first wall of the house;
- Insulation panels installed and all gaps on the second wall of the first floor were puttyed;
- The third wall of the first floor has been primed and primed;
- Repaired the faucet on the street.
